Students arriving after 8:50am must report to the office to receive a lateslip. If a student is late, a letter of explanation from the student's parent/guardian must be presented to the office staff on arrival.

From the Sports Desk....
On Tuesday, our Cranbrook U/12 Rugby League team travelled to Bowen to play Bowen SS in the final of the Les Stagg Rugby League competition. Unfortunately, the team went down 22-28 in a very tough game. The team played exceptionally well and should all be very proud of their efforts.
After winning the Townsville Final on Monday night, Cranbrook finished the competition as the number 1 primary school team in Townsville and as the number 2 primary school team in North Queensland.
......and thanks Mr Wilson for your endless guidance, dedication, support and practice sessions without you, the Cranbrook team wouldn't have been as devoted or successful without you!
Sporting news
Hunter Harris from Cranbrook SS will be on his way to Brisbane to compete in the North Queensland team for the State Championships in 4x100m Relay and the 100m & 2oom sprints!

R U OK?
Ask R U OK? Any Day because life happens every day.
A lot can happen in a year, a month, a week. Whether it’s your friend, family member, colleague, partner, or teammate, the people you care about go through life’s ups and downs every day.
By having regular, meaningful conversations, you build trust and normalise talking about what’s really going on, so when the people in your world find themselves struggling, they know you’re someone they can talk to.

Starting High School is generally an exciting time for young people and their parents/carers and the Saver Plus program is here to support your school community with some of the costs involved.
Saver Plus is open to eligible parents / carers all year, but we find it’s when these larger costs come up that families start reaching out for support. Families with students in year 5 now could set the goal to save in readiness for Year 7 in 2026.

-Have a current Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card
-Have a child in school, starting next year, or be studying yourself
-Get a regular income (can be you or your partner in paid work or child support / carers payment)

-Assist a primary / secondary school student’s education.
In celebration of National Water Week in October 2024, Townsville City Council is excited to invite students to participate in our drawing and social reel competition to showcase how they are accelerating action for water conservation. Entries can be submitted individual, as a class or school. Download the template via the link below.
Prizes: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each category with the chance to have the winners featured at the Riverway Movie Nights screening in October.
